Here is a my short project on making the Seeing Stone from episode 14 of The Mandalorian into a retro-style travel poster. 

 

Just incase you’ve not watched any of the Mandalorian - this could be considered a mild spoiler.

I first tried doing a basic drawing of the scene and how I wanted it to look. Drawing is not a strong point of mine so this wasn’t the easiest thing to do. I then took it into photoshop and started colouring over the outline I had drawn. 

I then got to the stage of having a general outline with the text layers added and some very basic landscape in the background. 

I finally added a rather atrocious drawing of Baby Yoda, or Grogu, to the centre of the stone and made the ring of text around the dome glow and have a force field shine out from it as seen in the episode.

 

Overall, this little project took around 5 hours to make from drawing to finished product - and it might be my favourite one yet!
